MT?

How does one determine what MT the lathe has?

My lovely documentation lost something in translating
from Chinese to english as I have in one place MT1
and in another MT2.

Could have both. My wood lathe has a MT2 on the headstock and MT1 on the tailstock.

If you are talking about the little Wilton 99177 VS wood lathe, it is #1 Morse taper in both ends. Near as I can tell from the Internet, it is an 8x12 lathe rather than 8x14.

I thought it was interesting the introductory paragraph mentioned 8 MT sizes.....0 thru 7.....but they only showed the dimensions for 6 sizes.....1 thru 6???
