My current moisture meter only shows a MC of 7%, nothing lower. Without spending a ton of money on a new one, what would members of the IAP recommend if I were looking to get a new meter that went to maybe 2% or less MC? Thanks

I have a GE Protimeter Surveymaster that I purchased for over $500 in 2008 when I was in the Home Inspection business. Probably only used it 3 or 4 time.
Like new - has been stored without battery.
After reading your post i was curious to see how low my meter would read so I stuck the needle points in the underside of my coffee table and got a reading of 2.8%
$175 OBO if interested

Thanks for the info on the MM. Timber Ripper, I think that your unit is way over what I'm looking for. I'm sure it's a great MM but it's way to sophisticated for my brain. I'm looking at something very basic that can get well be the 7% mark my current MM has.
Wildman- How low of a percentage does this unit go down to?
Thanks again for your response and help, it is appreciated very much.
