I was finally able to successfully etch this graphic onto a wood blank.
A note to anyone who builds their own rotary fixture or uses one already made.
Don't use too strong of a rubber band. I had a thick one that put too much pressure on the bar and it would not rotate correctly. I think it is because the positioning servos are so small and weak that any counter pressure prevents them from working correctly.
My test was a diagonal line that etched in both directions to see if it maintained a true shape reflective of the image.
It did after I used a smaller rubber band that put very little pressure on the rotating bar. Oddly, this happened even though my design uses roller bearings.
