I now bought enough spare diodes and engravers to be in good shape for a while. I also contacted a laser manufacturer that sells 8w lasers (mostly CO2) all the way through Star Wars-like weapons. He was quite a nice and informative guy. He was also unaware of anything in between the ebay stuff and what he makes. Now, he is only one guy, and I'm sure his knowledge is "skewed" (funny) but what he is accustomed to building, but there has to me something out there. If you find something, please reply, and I will do the same.
