I can verify that the 6" capacity will be a problem if you are planning to cut logs into blanks. For four years I struggled with a 6" capacity saw, having to use a chain saw to cut down almost any log so that I could resaw it. Two years ago, I got my Dad/Grandfather's 70 year old Delta and put a riser on it. Now I can cut up just about anything I can lift!

The 3/4 hp will also limit you on power. It is amazing what the extra 1/4 hp will do for thick cuts. Something often forgotten to check, motor speed. A 1725 rpm motor will have much more lugging power than a 3500/3600 rpm electric motor.s Just a part of how they are wound and the physics of how they work.
