Thinking about getting more serious about turning pens and I like the look of this mandrel setup. There's a kit that includes all the parts in the video demo for a fuzz over $100. Anyone have experience with this one?

Have been using it with a collett for about a year works really well.I Have turned about 100 pens with it.Good size bearings in it

Might want to try Turning between centers, no need for a mandrel. I prefer it.

PSI sells a Mandrel saver for a lot less, Does the same thing but doesn't have the other nifty things this one has.

I bought this one a couple of months ago from WoodTurningz. Like it so far and will continue to use in addition to doing more TBC. By comparison, it is more robust than the PSI version. Whether or not it represents enough value for the price difference is an individual decision.
