Grizzly G8690 Drive Belt

I am having a problem on getting the a new belt aligned to stay on the spindle pulley. I know there is probably some type of shimming that needs to be done and thought that somebody could share some thoughts on doing this. I have spent several days trying to align this to no avail. Any thoughts or input how to achieve this would be appreciated.

Terry; Put a long ruler across the face of the pulley. Make sure it touches both sides of the pulley. If it touches the same face on the other pulley, you are good. If not, the motor can usually be adjusted to match. Repeat the test for the other pulley. Loosen the motor bolts *SLIGHTLY* until you can move the motor until the pulleys are aligned.
