Fluting Acrylic

Has anybody tried to do some fluting work on acrylic? I just got the PSI fluting jig, and started thinking about using it to do some cool designs on acylic. Has anybody tried it before? didn't know if it would shatter on me, melt the edges, or what.

Sharp bits and do in stages.

when you say stages, do you mean to cut a little bit, re-adjust then cut a bit more?

Yes too much at a time will bog the bit and cause rip out. You need to let the bit do the cutting.
