Default collet set

Hello friends!
Can anyone point me to a collet set or just the collet holder that would fit in the MT2? I probably don't need a whole set but I guess untill I buy 3 or 4 sizes I may as well. I want to be able to use it on both ends of the lathe so just a 1x8 setup won't do.
Also, does anyone here use a collet chuck to hold a drill bit for drilling on the lathe?

TIA

Dale

I got mine from EBay. Mt-2 size ES 32 collets.
Works great.

There was another thread on this subject a few days ago in which one poster mentioned Banggood as a source of both collets and collet holders. Their web site does list an MT-2 collet holder.

The two major suppliers of collet chucks appear to be PSI and Beall, and both have good reputations. Their chucks have a female thread that matches the headstock spindle, so they won't work on the tailstock without some kind of adaptor.

Yea dogcatcher, like that.
If the inserts at $10 each or more I may as well get a set.
Lots of them on the 'zon' but most have no reviews.
Need to do more research on this.

I bought an ER40 collet chuck, it handles larger sizes of collets, I think it goes to 1" instead of the 3/4 that the ER32 goes to. But the cost was more, both in collets and the chuck, I also can use them on my metal lathe, so I justified the cost.

Problem with the er40 you cn't find a MT 2 collet holder as far as I been able to find one.

If some one know where you can find a MT2 collett holder for ER40 let me know.

I bought mine about 12 years ago on eBay, but found none on there today. I did find this one.
ER40 MT2 COLLET CHUCK #B17 | CTC Tools

But I have never dealt with this company.
