Welcome to the 2015 Pen / Penmaker Match-Up Contest. As the name implies, all contestants need to do is look at a photo of a pen and identify the member who made it from the list provided. Simple!

In addition to the Universal Bash Guidelines, the contest rules are as follows:

Here is how this contest works. On February 7, 2015 photos of 50 pens will be posted and a list of 50 names will be provided. Each of the pens pictured was created and posted on this site by someone on the list during the year 2014. Your job is to match the pen with its maker. Each correct match earns the contestant 1 point. At the conclusion of the contest, on February 15, 2015 the member with the most points wins. In the event of a tie the winning entry that was received first will be the winner. The order in which the entries are received will be determined by the date and time received indicated on the emailed entry. So, get as many pens matched to their makers as quickly as you can. Even if you can't get all the pens matched you can still submit an entry.

There is a limit of one entry per member. An Entry Form will be provided. The Entry Form will have numbered spaces. Place a name from the list of names in the space that corresponds to the number on the photo of the pen you believe that person made. Save the form and attach the form to an email. Send the email to Pen2Penmaker@gmail.com.

EXAMPLE:
1 - Peter Penmaker
2 - Billy Ballpoint
3 - Roxie Rollerball
4 - Nellie Nib

In the above example the entrant thinks pen #1 was made by Peter Penmaker, pen #2 was made by Billy Ballpoint, and so on.

As I receive and open the emails I will send a reply acknowledging that I received the email or notifying that I am disqualifying the entry along with the reason the entry is being disqualified. Emails received that do not contain the required information or that do not follow the format described will be disqualified. Time permitting, entries that are disqualified may be corrected by the contestant and resubmitted. No entries will be accepted that arrive in my mailbox after the stated conclusion of the contest. There is a limit of one entry per member.

The Prizes:

1st Place - $50 Gift Certificate from R& B Crafts, 2# Resin Kit valued at $36 from Allumilite and a Box of Blanks valued 2 $25 from Displaced Canadian!

2nd Place - Gift Package from Bear Tooth Woods valued at $28, A Box of Blanks valued at $25 from Southernclay and a 1# Resin kit valued at $20 from Allumilite!

3rd Place - A Box of Blanks valued at $25 from Edohmann and a $25 Gift Certificate to Wood Turningz from Fritz McCorkle!

DRAWING - A $25 Gift Certificate from the Classic Nib!

Be sure to contact and thank the donors of our prizes and support the venders who support the IAP!

Awesome pens - I think I know who made one of them.
I remember seeing most of them, but my old timer's memory is failing me.
This is gonna be tough!

Wow!! An amazing set of pens. I think I see some characteristics of certain turners, but to blame  anyone for one of these is a complete mystery.

I've corrected several errors in the list of names that have been pointed out to me. "Seamus" has been changed to "Seamus7227". "Nascardad" has been changed to "nascardad". "Rhall_8" has been changed to "rhall_8". I'm sorry for any confusion. Keep in mind that when doing a member search upper or lower case does not matter. An Advanced Search for Seamus would have found Seamus7227.

I enjoyed going through and seeing all of the pens posted that I may not have never seen.

Now that I'm done with that I think my wife said something about dinner almost 2 hours ago...

Thanks!

It is NOT too late!

I just received word from Prize Central that thanks to the generosity of our donors another prize has been allocated to this contest!

At the conclusion of the contest all correct entries, except the three that came in 1st thru 3rd, will be placed in a drawing. The winner of that drawing will receive:

A $25 Gift Certificate from The Classic Nib! Thanks Roy!
