Painting experiment on some pen blanks

I used some different color paint on a translucent type pen blank as an experiment.

I painted the brass tube, inside of the drilled blank and tinted the epoxy with the same color for each blank.

The blue was the interesting result because of the base color of the pen blank.

I am quite surprised by the blue paint result.

BTW, it seems the two pictures are identical ... was that the intention ?

I just used some liqitex acrylic artist paint on these.

Both pictures are the same…one just is cropped and may have a bit better definition.

the blanks were turned for sierra type pens.
