What is the best source for MM pads for finishing pens? Which grades do I need to buff the pens out? Am I better of buying 3x4" pads and cutting them into 1"x1.5" sets?

thanks

I buy the 3" x 4" and cut them into 4ths. I use them all on finishing. Woodnwhimsies carries them at a fair price.

I buy mine from Tim and Tracey at Woodnwhimsies. I cut them in half just as you said. I keep one set in a container of water for wetsanding and use the other for dry sanding. When I wet sand I use them all from 1500 to 12000. When I use them to buff out a ca finish I start with about 2400 so I don't sand through the ca. On wood, I dry sand and use them all. I will usually sand wood with Abranet up to about 400 then switch to Micro Mesh to finish.
