I'll take them out once in a while, throw them in a lingerie bag and
put them in with the wash, but other than that they stay in the water
unless I'm changing it out. I use a small tupperware type container with
a lid, so unless I forget to put that on and they dry out, no bad side
effects that I can tell.

Hey thanks for your information. I'll start leaving mine in water also. When I'm turning a lot I have to change my water about every 3 days.

I dont use it

i dont use micro mesh .
polishing componds I dont use sand paper much on ca finish
5 different grades of polishing compounds same rag. paper towel to buff .
