I tried searching for info on possibly using Inkjet ink as a dye/stain but only turned up folks printing decals and such. Has anyone tried using the ink as a stain for their projects?? I suspect it may not be light stable (just look at some older printed documents for fade) but since it will essentially be free since I'm thinking of using "empty" cartridges. Even if the printer is showing them as empty they seem to have a bit (or more) left that I'm hoping to harvest into a small bottle. I know refill ink can be purchased in bulk for refilling so if it works then that may be a way to acquire ink cheaper. Limited colors, generally Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black but adding a airbrushed type coloration to various projects might add interest. Just rambling now but anyone experienced with this??

Thanks in advance,

Rick
