Confession time on finishing

I have been a fan of CA/BLO finishing for over a year now. Except, I've been using WATCO Danish oil exclusively. From what I've read, WATCO is a mix of BLO, other oils, varnish, and mineral spirits. The finish I've been getting has been a nice one. This evening I tried using BLO (actually Boiled Linseed Oil, not WATCO Danish) with the CA instead of WATCO and all I can say is WOW. The difference in the finish is about 10 giant steps forward. The CA used with acutal BLO is far superior to the CA used with the WATCO oil. If I've led any of you astray, I apologize. I suggest you get rid of the WATCO and use the pure stuff...100% BLO. Man, I feel better already. Confession is good for the soul.

Yep...WATCO Danish Oil and BLO are two entirely different products.

WATCO is good on walnut. makes for a really nice finish and brings out the true beauty in walnut.
