Buffing Question

For those that buff their pens, I was wondering if you can use the same buffing wheels for both wood and acrylic/resin?

Which wheels?

The beall can be used for both. But I'd skip the last wheel for acrylics at least.

The gross system won't do much for wood unless it's ca coated.

Since the only wood I do is CA coated, I use the same wheels and compound for both. I use texatdurango's process.

I use my beall for both, If I sand to a really high grit I will only use the white diamond and I normally don't use the wax on acrylics but I do on CA.

Why? For wax, what do you perceive to be the difference between ca and plastic?

They both seem plasticy to me.

I just in my usage of them I like using a very light wax on ca. I am not sure why but customers like it. I know there is virtually no difference between the two though.
