Just a note on what most people miss - the purpose of BLO.

BLO is a mild accelerant of CA. I don't always use BLO but that is a personal choice. Many people do. However when it drops below 75°F, I bring it out. Cool CA takes a tad longer to set up. BLO speeds up the process.

BLO helps smooth the spread the the CA and acts as a lubricant too.

BLO also "pops the grain" so to speak on some woods - in two ways. It brings out the grain pattern and it adds amber / gold color to the wood. Be careful on very light and white woods as it can make whitish woods turn yellow.

By knowing the "purpose and intention," BLO expands the finish possibilities.
