Just finished this up for a guy at work to give to his father, really happy with how it turned out and learned a ton.

My belt sander belt blew up just as I started this pen and the parts haven't arrived yet so next time the birch gift box will be finished better. also think ill use two small hinges instead of the one larger hinge.

Just realized I posted in the wrong forum. Not sure if I can move it or if an admin can but please move this to the show off forum.

Wow Alex, great pen. You're sure moving fast, I remember your "first segmented" wasn't long ago. I like the box too, simple and beautiful.

Thanks Sam. I'm not great at doing the same thing over and over so I knew I would start trying different things things quickly.

Once I get my newer lathe set up I'm hoping to do some higher end pens. Current lathe has about 0.005" of runout and it drives me nuts. I've been told I'm a perfectionist but I just want to offer a quality product. Something to be proud of.
