Bought a new bottle of accelerator today (from hobby lobby). Same stuff I've been using. Was finishing a pen and it started to look very bumpy after a couple coats of CA and accelerator. Went to sand with 400 grit and CA just flaked off. Is it possible I got a bad batch of accelerator? Never had this happen before.

Could be bad . . and it could be the weather. Many people are not aware that weather conditions affect curing, drying, chemical reactions etc.

Changing temps, changing humidity, warm humidity, cold humidity each change reactions.

I've had this happen many before several times. It could be your accelerator but it could also be too much glue on the blank when you sprayed it. If your wet CA layer is too thick, it could easily get bumpy when you spray the accelerator.
