I am in the process of making three 50 caliber pens and I messed up the finish. It has been a while since I put lacquer on any cartridge pens and I forgot to put lacquer thinner with the automobile lacquer. How can I remove the lacquer and start over without damaging the cartridges?

um yeah ahhhh....
I would let it soak in a pool of lacqure thinner over night? Sorry it is what I would do.
OR you could break some eggs and let it soak in that. or is the eggs vs car paint a case for the Mythbusters.

The lacquer thinner will remove the dried lacquer in short order. Just let the cartridge soak in some lacquer thinner and then use a brush to wash it off. Lacquer wets all the way to the substrate anytime thinner is applied. I recommend the use of good chemical gloves to protect your hands while doing this, also be sure to be in a well ventilated location as the fumes are highly flammable and can be toxic to some people. That always applies when using lacquer or thinner.
