The creation of the IAP Collection has provided the IAP with the means to showcase and display a variety of pens and pen making styles. This year several creators of pens entered in the 2015 Birthday Bash Contests will be given the opportunity to have their creations included in the IAP Collection. The Kitless and Freestyle Contests have been designated as "IAP Collection Eligible". What this means is that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of these two contests will be asked if they would like to have their prize winning pens considered by the membership for inclusion in the IAP Collection. The winners of these contests are under no obligation what-so-ever to have their pen included in the collection, they will simply be given the option to have them considered for inclusion by a popular vote of the membership.

In addition to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Kitless and Freestyle Contests members of the IAP Management Team will nominate up to four additional pens that were entered into any of the 2015 Birthday Bash Contests. These nominees do not necessarily have to have won the contest into which they were entered. The IAP Management Team nominations will lean towards fulfilling the desire to have the IAP Collection be representative of varying levels of skill among the members, unique use of materials, innovative design ideas, etc. As is the case with the winners of the Kitless and Freestyle Contests, the owners of the pens nominated by the IAP Management Team will be asked if they would like to have their pens considered for inclusion in the IAP Collection and put to a membership vote.

If the owners of the pens described above agree to have their pens considered for inclusion in the IAP Collection their pens will be included in a poll to be voted on by the membership. The two pens receiving the highest number of votes will become the property of the IAP and become a permanent part of the IAP Collection. In the event of a tie there will be a second poll conducted to determine the winner. Polls will continue until there is one clear 1st place and 2nd place winner. The owner of each winning pen will receive a cash award of $100.00.
