Pen 5

Kitless fountain pen, made from damascus steel and titanium. Damascus rod was forged for me by local blacksmith from a steel wire rope and machined by me. Finial and centerbands turned from titanium rod, clip made with a dremel from 1.5mm titanium sheet. All titanium parts anodized, all joints threaded. Bock feed and holder with Heritance #6 nib.

Pen 10

Pen kit: Venus Roller Ball - Black Ti Blank: 250+ hand cut/hand laid pieces of Abalone and Mother of Pearl; Mosaic Finish: 100% CA build up & finish (blank was not cast) Details: Blank was created with 250+ Abalone and Mother of Pearl shell pieces. Each piece was cut and laid by hand to the desired design. I would classify this pen as a very elegant woman's pen. A very beautiful pen to look at under direct sunlight. Well balance and the roller ball fill makes it a pleasure to write with. This pen can easily become a family treasured heirloom for years to come.

Pen 18

This is a look back at the flattops of the 1930s. The material is Mazzucchelli cebloplast in Cobalt Glow, a material Scheaffer selected for one of its last limited editions. The cap bands and finial washers are jewelers brass cut from sheet stock and turned to size on the lathe in a shop-made jig. The clip is a traditional ball like those found on the early flattops. I am using a size 6 steel nib made in Germany by Knox. The section is styled after the Wahl Eversharp Skylines.

There is defiantly a lot of talent and patience in making these beautiful pens. Advanced certainly is not something that happens over a few months! Thanks to all the entries for showing me how far I have yet to go and what is possible with talent , time, patience and enginoity !

I would be proud to have made any of those pens! Actually, I would also have been proud to be the maker of the pens that didn't make the final cut.
