I have started to talk to PSI about the idea of a group buy and have also discussed it with Monty. I am in the process of getting all the details. Would their be any interest in participating with a $300 to $375/person?

The first one might have a small amount of participants (8 or 10). One of their requirements at the moment is to have a purchase of $3000.00 or more and they can give us the max discount on pen kits ( mix and match/style) and other accessories depending on our future discussion.

Update: These are some of the specifics that the PSI Rep and I discussed today:

• Minimum $3000.00/order after discounts to be eligible for this offer.
• All pen kits will get the max discount per kit in style and plating (ie, bolt action/gun metal=$10.25, bolt action/24Kt=$11.95)
• Shipping for an order with pen kits only will have a flat rate of $8.95.
• All accessories that have the quantity discount will be available for the offer (ie, boxes). The rep is getting the shipping price for the accessories.
• Items that do not have quantity discount will not get any price break.
• Sale items will also not get any discounts.

He also said that the Southwest kit will not be available until 3 more weeks.

Are there any questions that have not been answered that you might have?

Update: PSI agreed that all small accessories would be included in the $8.95 price with the pen kits as long as all the requirements stated before are met.

I am not sure. Originally I had the intention of running the first one, but I just started a new job and have very limited free time. I am also trying to get ready for a few spring shows that are for this month. I might be able to run it but until mid May.

If anybody would like to try it, I can give them the info on the person they need to talk to at PSI. Also the spreadsheet needs to be built for PSI to include all the items that people would be interested.


Please post what pen kits or accessories people would be interested, so the spreadsheet can be built and not have all the items included?

I'm going to resurrect this post because doing the GB will require creating a new spreadsheet. If, (and this is a big if) the Buy were to take place, what kit/s would you want to be included in the buy. This would be the starting point for the Buy as I see no reason to build the first spreadsheet with kits no one is interested in. If someone has posted they want item XYZ and you also want XYZ please list it so we will know how popular XYZ is. This list can include razors, stands, letter openers etc. Please list the PSI catalog number along with the item.

Don't worry about a minimum order at this time. This is just to see what is most popular to begin with, not who would participate within set parameters. Like I said, I see no reason to include items no one is interested in.

Just a heads up. I spoke to PSI and I will run a PSI GB in the next few days as soon as I get the spreadsheet completed. This first buy will only include pens, tubes, bushings, razors, brushes and razor stands.
I will post all the particulars as soon as the spreadsheet is ready, but the main requirements will be we have to have a $3000 order after all discounts are taken and we will get the max discount for any item even if only one of that item is ordered.
