Is not going to be long before you will be able to recognise all my woods, is only one problem with that, you haven't seen 2/3 of them, yet...!:biggrin:

The local common Black Wattle is slightly different, the one thing they have in common is the bright "yellows", some trees do produce wood like the blanks of the pics, these are normally smaller trees that have died while standing, the bark goes hard as steel, and the bugs can't get to the wood.

Chainsaws and bandsaws going through that bark (full of silica) don't do to good either...!
