I'm working on a George blank .... and needed to fill some chip outs. I learned from Mr. Anonymous #7 how the master does this.

#57 Peppercorn Burl. Sweet stuff but a little difficult to work. The hardness or maybe the inconsistency between the resin and Burl makde me so slow and gentle. But it is beautiful stuff!

Humm...! OK, where did I saw that before...???:biggrin:

I suggest using the coarse sand paper, the coarser the better, 4o and 60 work best...!

You can also use a "rasp" to create filling material...!:wink:

You done a great job with it and that blank is full of character, no doubts...!

One down, a few more to go, huh...???

Remember, thin CA is your best friend, it can harden soft wood that was never stabilized, making the transition between wood and resin less "dramatic", it runs into any of the smallest crevesses and bonds them, it helps to keep everything together, with some ease...!:biggrin:
