Hi peoples,

I was not asked by "no one" to put this thread together, this is entirely my decision, in an attempt to address any possible "assumptions", of how the US$5,000 of pen blanks purchases by Mr. Anonymous from me, "Georges Bits of Timber", have been valued and distributed among all IAP members, as the condition stipulated by Mr. Anonymous...!

Some quick calculations show that, the value of the prizes is of about US$2,500 per year, from July/2014 to July 2016, this represents an approx. value of US$210.00 per month, US$52.50 per week, for the next 24 months...!

Human nature is what it is and often, questions are asked, insinuations and or accusations are made, based on the assumption of miss use of funds for self benefit.

Take a serious note at this, I will not allow that to happen with me, and this generous/kind gesture from an IAP member and admire/friend that I didn't know I had, not to this extent, anyway...!

There will be not hidden "monkeys", every dollar used will be justified and evidenced with documentation, that will involved directly with IAP events, calendar ones or not, including my own "games"

This thread will be continually updated, as the events take place, right to the end of July 2016 (2 years duration, as planned initially)

Anyone that wants to consult it and see its status, is most welcome, this was done for members viewing and at the same time will allow Mr, Anonymous to follow the money distribution processes.

The responsibility to make this work, falls totally on me, I want the process to be simple, clear and trouble free therefore, I'm offering this "open door" space, to make sure I don't get any confusions and or questions of my Honest character and person...!

I reckon, preventions works a lot better than cure...!:biggrin:

The value and criteria's of these games...!

Hi peoples,

I normally don't take pics of the prizes in the boxes, before they are posted but some times I do, to show and give a friendly piece of advice to everybody that, my prizes aren't rubbish, left overs, rejects or anything that I want to get rid-of, the contrary is the truth, I'm providing the best I make and have from end to end so, lets make that very clear...!:)

There will be prizes that will be compose with shorts and other blanks that I never listed anywhere for whatever the reason, I have no "rubbish" in my lolly-shop, the place from where all blanks for prizes will come from, the rubbish stays in the work-shop, for firewood sorting or dumping...!

However, every week, the offer and prizes are different, all my woods, from the most popular to the ones rarely sold, will become part of these games, this will be the only way/opportunity I will ever have to, have many of you try out woods that you wouldn't otherwise even consider, for whatever the reason...!

The fundamental instructions to me, were very clear and I have every intention to make it through so, with a weekly budget of about 50 bucks, some weeks/games, will have "better" prices than others but it all win even out in the end...!

Some games, I will divulge what the prize(s) is/are at the beginning, many other games, will not have any mention to what the prize will be, I would like to have an even participation from all members, new and older, everyone, without any exceptions, is welcome to participate and be part of these generous offer from Mr. anonymous, he made absolutely clears that, the funds are to be distributed back to IAP members, no exceptions.

Saying this, I'm starting to realise that, new members are not participating, they the ones to game the most with these blanks donations/gifts, giving them something to aspire to learn how to handle (the more fragile blanks) and transform into beautiful pens

I'm pleased that Mr. Anonymous have gave me full control of how his funds are distributed among all IAP members, there is, the ones that accept to participate in these games and while I'm avoiding to introduce any rules, I will be looking for anything that will become a problems, such as, the same person getting far too many prizes, and participation based on the "KNOWN" value of the prizes so, I will make sure that many of these games, will have no discloser of what the prize will be, to safeguard the friendly participation spirit, these games/donations are/is about...!

I would like to see new members participating, and based to the fact that, my games are an introduction to every wood species I have in my "timbers list", plus all the other blanks I make. Is only reasonable to accept that, new members are not familiar with my blanks, raw or otherwise so, I need to consider asking questions that they will have a chance to answer/know therefore, encouraging them to participate and have a chance at the prizes, as at the moment, they are truly disadvantaged, and I apologise for that, I promise, I will change that very soon...!:biggrin:

Remember, the game or the blanks/wood related to the questions, may no look much but, there is a good chance that, the prize has nothing to do with the wood shown/used on that game, maybe yes and maybe not so, keep guessing, you will only be with a chance to win an amazing prize, if you are so king and be willing to participate/have a go, capish...???
