Default What does $800 worth of PVC pipe look like?

I just picked up these 4 10' pieces of 4" clear PVC today from my supplier. And yes, that is really $800 worth of pipe! These will be used to make my new JuiceProof vacuum chambers for those of you who are waiting on your chamber and have this new style ordered!

Just thought I would share! It is rather shocking to me that this little bit of pipe costs that much!

Curtis,

What is special about it that makes it so expensive?

Lin got it right. This is CLEAR PVC. Not something you find at the local lumberyard or home improvement store.

yes, I'm quite sure any HOME application requiring 4" PVC would be something I would DEFINITELY not want to be see-through!

I did a project in college with clear PVC that was 1" and i thought that was expensive, glad we didnt go with 4"! Maybe someday i will be able to get a chamber, but for now i will just have to turn the blanks that yall make with them.
