These days, I turn pens regularly so that we can post pictures on ExoticBlanks.com. I enjoy it, but usually forget to paint tubes, because I never had to do that when I made hundreds of pens and it just has NOT become "second nature" to me.

This week, I had to turn a couple samples of material we just received from Italy-material that was once used by Conway Stewart. It was more dense, more difficult to turn--I had to sharpen and it still "fought back". But, when I was done turning, sanding and polishing----

OMG!!!

Any way you look at them, these are spectacular blanks!

Coming soon (need to cut them and post)

I hope you are going to offer some of these in assorted lengths, particularly longer lengths, which is my preferred way to acquire pen making materials. These are lookin' good!

Good timing, Steve!

They are currently just over 20" long. Remember they have to be shipped to you, so what length would you feel is "ideal" for your projects?

Others are welcome to comment, as well!
