Drill bits--first project today

Spent the last couple hours putting labels on ziplock bags, one drill bit per bag. Gave me an appreciation for what we have!!

Exotics now offers over 35 sizes of drill bit, some reduced shank to fit your half inch Jacobs chucks.

NEARLY ALL of our bits are made in the USA!! When I look for sources, I try to find the best overall value---if pricing and specs are close, I will choose "Made in USA"--which has resulted in all our "64ths" and most of our metric being USA produced.

The letter bits don't say where they are made.

I like that they are twist bits and not brad points. I much prefer them for drilling on the lathe and the fact they are easily sharpened with a drill doctor.

The Drill Doctor has changed my approach to all drilling. I've learned a sharp drill will go straight!!!

So then my question would be ...."Do you sharpen brand new bits?"

My own opinion would be YES......best to know 'for sure' that they are sharp.
