How do you keep the transmission from unscrewing when retracting the point? If you put loctite on the threads, you will eventually have to change the refill, so that won't work. Any ideas?

I just torque it down a bit.

just use a drop of blue locktite. I have not had to try it, but I believe heat helps if too much locktite was used.

If you use locktite you do not have to pull the pen apart to change the refill, simply unscrew it and the transmission stays in the upper part.
