I just found a very old promotional ballpoint with personal sentimental value. The body is in perfect condition. It's no surprise the refill is not working. I tried running it under hot water for a few minutes to see if I could revive it, to no avail. I can see through the plastic that there still is ink in it. I am guessing the ink is dried up.

Is it possible a drop or two of solvent in the back end could revive the ink? I know I could replace the refill, but it would be really cool if I could bring this old guy back to life. Original only once!

TIA, Carl

Try placing the refill only vertical in a warm toaster oven (175 *F) for 5 minutes, then try writing with it. If no go, try another 10 minutes. If that doesn't get it writing it's no good at all. Solvent is not recommended.
