You finally get your pressure pot to hold pressure - no leaks! Elusive little devil. Turns out there was a poor weld on the inside ridge that contains the gasket. It was keeping the gasket from sealing. A little work with a Dremel smoothed it out.

I deal with people all the time that have no "observational" skills or "reasoning" skills. I have learned to accept it and hold back the rolling of the eyes or shaking my head.

Good job of finding the "leak" that was not in the obvious place of - joints/connections!
