Default Wood ID Please

Should have saved the label on the blanks. Turning it produced mustard-colored shavings. It has been coated with CA. Thank you.

Any odor that you noticed while turning it?

If it didn't have the stripes, from the mustard colored dust, would have guess IPE, the stripes throw me.
IPE will have sort of a spicy smell...

I'm far from an expert, but it looks almost identical to some bocote that I've turned.

Thank you all.

I wear an organic vapor and dust mask, run a DC, position a fan in front of the lathe, and a shop air filter. If a skunk pooped on my head, I wouldn't smell it. :-)
Funny..if I don't wear that type of mask, I wake up with a light, but persistent cough in the morning (no matter what I turn).

Thanks again!

Tony , I think you have an opportunity to make a pen no one has ever showed on IAP - a skunk hair pen . They have such a beautiful , soft tail . It would be a natural extension of the tail feather blanks sold on the forum .
