I've picked these from what I think is either a cedar or juniper tree. They are nut like, but without a shell. Anyone know what they are?
They are in the oven and I'll cast them at some point.

Appears to be cedar quince rust. A fungus that can affect juniper trees.

Thanks! I did come across that on the web but wasn't sure. It makes sense as they are only in one area.

There are some wild apple trees in the fence row close to these cedar trees. Fungus Pen!
