A bandsaw or jointer would've been nice, but I can't complain, it was by far the best Christmas ever. Merry Christmas y'all!

BOOKS! Books Books and more books. How to....... Cooking....... Reading paperbacks from the second hand store. There is just something about holding them that make it nicer then reading a nook.

Family got what they wanted. I needed nothing. Still learning what I got last year. LOL

Wishing health and happiness to all my friends that we can be together again next year.

I got a nice new microwave for the shop, something to rewarm my coffee with. Plus a good mixture of exotic turning blocks, my daughter buys them for me every year. I never asked for them, she just started buying them for me for Christmas a few years ago.

I got Christmas dinner..... I wasn't deamed as being worthy of gifts after crashing the car a week before Christmas.

Hi Mr. glad you still about and feeling very sorry for you, your crash and the "punishment" ouch...!:frown: you're lucky to get dinner...!:wink:

Hope everybody is doing well, we carry on like an old wagon...!:)

Cheers

I got my Christmas presents back during the summer when I got my Powermatic 3520B, Stronghold chuck with 3 sets of jaws and a vacuum chuck. My wife wanted me to buy myself something for Christmas but I am going to wait a few weeks because I have decided what to get next. I'm debating between a couple negative rake scrapers, a Talon chuck or CBN wheels.

I got to have my sons, my grand children, and great grandchildren at the house. Seems like everyone is so busy any more its hard to get everyone together, that was a GREAT present for my wife and I.

I got the Ryobi 18V brushless 7 1/4 inch circular saw, Brushless 18V drill driver, and Quiet strike 18v impact driver.

I have a number of Ryobi 18V tools, some 7 to 8 years old. Knowing what I was getting, I gave my 12 year old grandson my 6 or 7 year old - 18V impact driver, 18V Drill and 18V 5 1/2 saw - along with a good size tool chest. BTW, my 12 year old grandson does all the minor repairs on their house an he is good at it too! He is quick with insight as to what the cause is and how to fix it. He reminds me of some old codgers with lots of common sense (read insight.)

A book on John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, some donations were also made to charities, and my daughter got accepted into Graduate Schools (3) for Physical Therapy :bananen_smilies008::banana::bananen_smilies008:

And about 5 hrs in the workshop with one of my sons: Entirely his work:

I got a Wen 16" scroll saw, a couple of additions to my Ryobi One collection and some pen kits & blanks.

What I enjoyed most though was watching everyone open the gifts that I made for them this year.

Nothing toolish. A soundbar for my TV, a highly regarded game, an assortment of bowling goodies, and a boot dryer plus some socks.

I did, however, get myself a Laguna 18-36 at the beginning of the month, a Vicmarc chuck for it, a hefty order from Exotic Blanks (hefty by my standards, not by the standards of those who sell pens), and a Carter Hybrid Axe and Henry Taylor Kyro Roughing Gouge.

Plus I participated in a Secret Santa at another site, which did result in toolish goodness, although none of it is very applicable to turning.

I am now the proud owner of a Dewalt DW788 Scroll Saw. Now I just need to learn how to use it. Look out Jeff Powell, here I come!
