Hello Everyone…
Here is my latest addition to US Navy ships wood.
This large piece of teak was removed the Fast Attack Destroyer Tender USS Cape Cod (AD-43) after she was launched 2 August 1980, decommissioned in 2 September 1995, and sold for scrap in 2012.
She was designed with the capabilities to maintain andrepair the gas turbine powered FFGs, DDs and DDGs. Because of the drawdown of the US Navy in theearly 1990s, and a change in the composition of the fleet, the Cape Cod without work.
It is going to take some time to cut this up into pen blanks. Once I do, I will let everyone know the pricing details. I will includea COA.
