The stopper I have been using is hard to remove from the bottle. Not sure if the wine residue is causing that. I have to twist/rock/pull the stopper to remove it. I cleaned it but still a problem. I thought about a light coat of olive oil on the stopper rings but did not do so. The stopper is inserted into the bottle until a ring grabs. I have not been pushing it in more than necessary. Any suggestions? Thanks, Frank

Try on a different bottle, to see if unique to that one bottle or type of wine. Is the issue with more than one stopper? Whatever it is, do not give up until you can drink the wine

Issue is with one stopper. I will change bottles to compare.
