If you are in your local Sears, take a look at the closeout shelves. My local store is closing out all of their turning stuff at huge discounts.
I just purchased 5 turning tools for $12.00. I also got 2 8" faceplates for $6.50 each and work arbors, screw centers, spur centers, cup centers, A drill chuck that fits my radial arm saw. Most of the stuff is marked way down and then my locat store gave 50% off of that.....
Might be worth a look..

[?][?] How would that work? [?][?] Can't say that I understand what it would do, but I will be checking out my local sears tomorrow.

For drilling and such: There is a 1/2-20 threaded shaft on the opposite side of the motor. There are drilling attachments, routing attachments, sanding attachments, etc, etc.
