I have never seen but a couple weekends ago I was asked if I could make Rug hooking hooks - I googled and saw a couple but does anyone know where to get the stuff to make them?
Thanks for your help!

Most any of the craft shops will have latch hook rug tools. Cost is variable but look at the shaft and hook quality,as some are flimsy.

Knock off the wood handle and add a creative custom handle

Agree with Ken - the logical starting point is ot purchase inexpensive rug hooks with plastic handles, and then replace the handles with something made of an interesting wood.

Crochet hooks have an open hook, so it's not to difficult to craft a functional hook in wood. But rug hooks have a hinged metal bar that closes the hook - unless you are really good with metal, that would be hard to recreate.

One suggestion that I've seen is to make handles that are 'fatter' because they are easier for people with arthritis to use.
