RIKON 7-220VSR Lathe

Woodcraft is selling RIKON products at 15% off until the 19th of March.

ThaT is nothing new or exciting. However, I just discovered that the 70-220VSR has a tail stock which has 3 1/2 inches of travel.

To those of us to drill on the lathe, that means we can drill a 3 - 3 1/4 inch pen blank without having to re-position the tail stock.

If I was going to buy a new lathe it would be this one.
I do a tool demo at Hartville Hardware twice a year and this is the lathe they provide.

I bought my 70-220 last year when they had the 15% off. Really a nice lathe.I drill everything on it.it is well thought out

It is, indeed, very nice to be able to drill a Vertex, Polaris (Atlas) or Le Roi Royale without having to reposition the tail stock. I like mine a lot.

I love my Rikon 220vsr, bought mine about a year ago after a lot of research, and am so glad I did. I just wish I could find more time to use it!
