Race horse theme

a friend whom has racehorses would like me to make him
ink pens with a racehorse theme, any idea what I could use?
I noticed at exoticblanks, there is a jockey and racehorse blank
you glue together and place on a sierra, I like that set up but can that
blank be used on a different pen? Thanks in advance

I would take pictures of his prize horses and cast them. You can segment the ends of the blank if the picture doesn't fit all the way from end to end so you don't have to distort the picture. I've done it a few times and they loved it.

They may not be race horses (look at bit more like quarter horses to me), but it is something to consider.

It is possible to put one of the laser kits on a different pen, but it will involve sanding out the hole to fit the larger tubes. You might be able to do a smaller tube by gluing the laser kit onto a piece with the tube size you need glued down to the 27/64 size of the kit hole. That would result in a blank which was pretty thick for a smaller tubed kit.

You could go with a tooled leather theme to resemble the stitching and look of a saddle.

Jockey silk colors work well.
