If any of you use pocket hole jigs, have you ever tried using the fine threads in pine or other soft woods? IF so how did it hold up?

I am deciding if I really need to buy the coarse thread screws.[:I]

Thanks,
Ryan

Fine threads in hardwoods like oak, walnut and maple, and coarse in stuff like pine, cypress and other soft stuff. It really makes a difference. get the right stuff.

I'll agree also. For pine course thread screws are a must. I noticed they had them at Lowes the other day when I was there. Much cheaper than the ones at Rockler or Wood Craft.

Thanks everyone! I will go get some coarse thread as well. I have a local Nut and Bolt Supply that has them for 2.39 per 100. That is half of what I have seen them priced at other places. BUT they only have them in fine.

Thanks again.
