Our Hot Date

Earlier this week my wife, Lida, said that she had a surprise planned for Saturday night and that I should expect a "hot" time. I thought "hey we still got it even after 36 years of marriage." After waiting excitedly all week imagine my disappointment when our "hot" time turned out to be canning tomatoes together.

Hmm .. way too much headspace in that jar to the left ... hope you use that one soon!


Also ... was there any variety play involved? (talking seriously here, though that was a naughty little play on words)

For instance ... adding hot sauce or peppers to the tomato sauce to spice it up ... making salsa with peppers and onions and tomatoes ... ect

Perhaps even adding meat and other spices to turn it into spaghetti sauce?

Any pizza sauce? Marinara dip? Sauce for meatball sandwiches/subs?

Any thoughts to adding wine to the tomato sauce?

Well, my friend, I reckon if after 36 years you still "have it", lucky you, you just made a lot of folks pretty jealous...!:wink::biggrin:
