What do you think?

The ball is hollow, about 2 1/2" diameter and this one had cedar finials.

Looking good. The hollowing is fun, eh. What did you use for finish?
I think I am going to wrap up the ornaments for the year, I only made about 30.

Had an old bottle of crystal coat that was almost out of date so I used that. Hollowing is fun and you really don't need specialised tools. These ornaments are fairly large so all I needed was a 1/4 scraper. They are not perfect 1/16" walls but you didn't hear that from me [;)].

I try to make a different tree ornament every year to give for Christmas Gifts to what we call the "ornament list." This year I started making some turned ornaments similar to the one above. The get addictive to make, I'll try to post some pictures. Mine have mostly been ambrosia maple with rock maple finials. Mudder, nice job on the one above!
