I agree eagle, I'm not too fond of the kit either. But, it is a beautiful blank and a fine display of craftsmanship. Just goes to show there is something beautiful in everything.

I like the blank; is that one of yours? It almost looks like an acrylic, and I know how you feel about those! The pen looks neat too. I know a lot of people who like simple lines on things, and this will be a sure hit with them. I like the CB, too.

It's all wood but I am surprised no-one mentioned the Rikon lathe.
The kit is one of the ones I traded for last week,HArt double twist otherwise known as the elegant American.
thinner profile Parker refill.
There aint no mountain high enough, I keep wanting to climb.

Thats 'cause I just got here. How do you like the lathe? I've seen it at the Woodcraft store and it sure looks like it is up to the task. How is it to turn on? Since I just won a new lathe, and don't want a No. 1 Morse taper, was going to trade for the Jet mini. But the Rikon is a strong temptation.

Turning it on is easy because the switch is on the left and I am right handed.Nice for applying CA
