I was hoping this would improve my pictures.
This is a pen made years ago using amboyna burl.
I wanted to see how the perimeter LED lights in my new display case would show the pen for a photo. I may be able to improve this with some different settings but it is better than I usually do.

That looks really pretty good .... you seem to have avoided most of the shadows and glare that are problematic for me.

Continuous bulb like fluorescent - you can get these in LED, will help, but there are also LEDs that are not one continuous lighting, in other words a light square every inch or so. These non-continuous lights, or diamond like diffusers on fluorescent - cause multiplicity of light point reflections on the pen and as a result take the eye away from the pen itself.

4500K or 5000K make the best light for both pictures and for showing the correct color of the pen.
