Mark James hosted an meetup for the Ohio Chapter. I decided to dive up a few days early to get some advanced 1on1 segmented instruction. So I hit the road early Thursday morning. It's just shy of 400 miles for me. to break the drive up, I stopped in Columbus to have coffee with Chris Cannon (Wishman). He showed me around his pen studio and I had a cup of Depth Charge!! Coffee with a double shot of espresso!!
From there it was on to Mark's. Over the next 3 days I met alot of IAP members, Drank Lot's of Bourbon, and gained 50 pounds from all the food! Everyone turned a pen of some sort. We did a little casting for those that wanted to learn. And made some watch part blanks with Magic Bob and Tim.
Loads of info for anyone that showed up. But more importantly, it was a vacation with friends. Lots of lies told around the fireplace after the bourbon kicked in. I'm pretty sure me and mark were the night owls of the group. We were up to the wee hours of the morning.
It's now back to the daily grind. Here are a bunch of pics. About half of what I took. Enjoy!
