So, I made 70 pens for my first ever show and sold $880 in pens over two days. I had a blast doing it so well worth all the effort.

Nice! I've got my firs show coming up on the 12th, and can only hope to have similar results. I am currently at about 55 pens and am turning away to hopefully get to around 100 by the show.

What were your big sellers?

I can't put my finger on one big seller over another, I had a variety of styles, materials and colors.

The big seller was the story. The story behind each piece of wood or acrylic, where the acrylics were made, who made them. The rarity of the wood and where it came from etc. etc. People love the story as much or more than the pen.

If they feel your passion for the wood, they want to be a part of that.

I told each one, this is not my job, it's a hobby so I take my time and pride in every pen and that people get emotionally attached to them etc. etc.

I told them I could tell them about every pen on the display and every piece of wood and where it came from etc.

I loved every minute of it.

Below is a picture of me and the display of pens.
