My car is stuffed!

250 programs (actually a small box, but sounds impressive)
100 swag bags with fillings (7 laundry baskets - don't ask why)
110 name tags for preregistered/vendors/demonstrators
40 walk-in name tags
a Jet Mini lathe w/stand
Misc chucks, mandrels, tools, etc...
The IAP Collection/display cases
140 Blanks to sell as the MPG Fund-Raiser

And, that is the load for Friday

Saturday:

14 vegi platters
16 bags of cheese cubes
Crackers
Ranch dip (for extra)
100 bottles of water
plates, napkins, toothpicks

And it should be 65 degrees, sunny, mild skies (In Arizona)

The real treat for all of us - Meeting pen turners who we have admired their work; meeting pen turners we have commented on; meeting vendors face-to-face that we support; seeing demos from turners we look to for suggestions; simply meeting folks who share our interests!

Screen shots are nice - Face to face is better!

Actually, the weather here will be not the best, but hey... It's Ohio!

One day, IAP will get rich enough to subsidise the travelling costs of folks like me, in the mean time I follow all the excitement of everybody for the preparations necessary, and while I'm talking about "preparations", I know well the type of effort and time that is required by so many organisers/people/members to pull something like this from out of the hat, my respect and admiration goes to all of you, hard workers...!

Someone from the background may be shouting, "it has to be done...!", it may be true however, that doesn't detract the fact that, without those dedicated persons, nothing would get ever done and that is a fact...!

I'm sure everything will go according to plan and that everybody will have a great time, those close friends of mine, can, if they so wish, shake a few extra hands and say also g'day from George's....!:wink:

Cheers
George

One final reason to come to the MPG

You can't do yard work this weekend!!!

I need to start caring for the lawn. My conscience is clear!

Forecast

36 at 3pm today
55 high Saturday
71 high Sunday

Got to love spring in Ohio.

The roads look ok, but everyone drive careful.

Wow Mark, that is a beautiful pic, it looks like a hand painting to me but I know it is not. The image is dramatic from the low light and I will always wonder what/how I would feel is a place like that, I love a small wooden home with a fireplace and knowing that is could outside, being in the thick snow I have never been, being exposed to those low temperatures, I never been, I don't like to feel cold but I seem to enjoy less and less the hot weather, I seem to function better lately with lower temperatures but my low temperatures mean 10 or so Celsius and not 30 or 40 below, with the right clothing, I may would be able to survive I may never know...!

Shovelling snow seems to me to be as bad as mowing the lawn...!

Yes this is neat on a weekend morning. Its a pain in the a$$ on a work morning and a super pain in the a$$ when you have to get home from work.

And you have to get up or down a street like this. :)
