Grab a calculator (you won't be able to do this one in your head)

Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)

Multiply by 80

Add 1

Multiply by 250

Add the last 4 digits of your phone number

Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again

Subtract 250

Divide number by 2

Who comes up with this stuff!? I saw on the Science Channel about BrainMan, the guy that recited pi to 25,500 places without missing a single digit! It took him 5 hours. It has something to do with the way his brain got rewired when he was sick as a kid. He sees numbers as physical objects, so he can also do calculations like that one easily in his head.

C'mon Bruce, this one is easy! The net result is that you're muliplying the first three digits by 20000, adding to it twice the last four digits, and then dividing the result by two.

I'm only good for the first five digits after the decimal; after that, my hand-operated tools just aren't accurate enough.
